The General Assembly Chorus is proud to support the work of the Pretty in Pink Foundation with proceeds from their upcoming Spring Show.  Join them for a fabulous evening of Top Quality entertainment including Inter-national Barbershop Champion Quartet, the Acoustix, (Dallas, TX)  and Sweet Adelines Silver Medalists Jackpot! Bike Ride for Multiple Myeloma at Duke July 10 8am

Be a part of a 50Km or 100Km road bike ride through the Duke campus and rural Durham and Orange counties. Your registration fee helps support the families and patients undergoing treatment at the Multiple Myeloma Center at Duke as well as research to understand and treat the disease.The two rides begin in front of the North Pavilion at Duke University Hospital and continue west through Duke Forest. The 100K route continues into rural Orange County before returning to Duke. The terrain is typical for the Piedmont area of N.C.; the roads wind through forests and farms with short but frequent rolling hills.Both rides begin at 8 am. Both routes will stay open until 3 pm. There will be rest stops and SAG vans throughout the routes.

Mudcats Baseball fundraiser for House of Hope July 31 6:15

CAROLINA MUDCATS MINOR LEAGUE BASEBALL GAMES    Come to a fundraisers for The House of Hope in Clayton.  Tickets will be bought at group advance rate with donations going to the House of Hope’s operating funds.   July 31st will be in premium seating cost $11 per ticket.

The 7-31st game is limited to 25 unless a group wants to buy additional tickets to seat with us.  August 22nd will be general admission cost $6 per ticket.

House of Hope opened in March of 1998 as a Christian therapeutic school, home, and counseling center for hurting and troubled girls, ages 12-17.   We have an intensive program offering Christian education and counseling for girls and their families regardless of their financial situation.  The mission is to Build Hope, Change Lives and Restore families through the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.  Vision of the House of Hope.   The goal of House of Hope is to Build Hope, Change Lives, and Restore Families. We Build Hope by sharing love and acceptance to the whole family, Change Lives by teaching Life Skills to girls and parenting skills to parents, and Restore Families by working on each person individually until relationships can be restored to a healthy, loving family environment. House of Hope currently serves 8 families in our residential program (8 girls in 2,800 sq. ft. house regulation) and 3-4 outpatient families at one time. House of Hope does not accept any federal or state funding.  Night on the Town is planning raise $425 for the House of Hope.  Reaching out to different singles ministries and civic clubs, select your own area and SUPPORT!   Parking is $4 per car.  Middle Schoolers: Bring Your Glove! Catch a Fly Ball!

Tuesday, August 3, the Triangle Heart Ball will celebrate the kick off of our 2011 campaign with the 3rd Annual Chef Challenge sponsored by AllscriptsMisys.

 The Chef Challenge is being hosted by Quintiles at their global headquarters at 4820 Emperor Blvd. in Durham. Six of the Triangle’s most celebrated Chefs will push their culinary talent to the limit by creating a “Dish from the Heart.” Each Chef was asked to recreate a dish based on a personal story. You’ll taste the heart and soul in every bite!

Pay-it-Foward Dinner Dance for Cancer Patients Sept 11 7 pm

Dinner and dancing at the lovely Renaissance Hotel in North Hills, Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010. All for a good cause: charity event for Pay-it-Forward, the Caring Community Foundation’s annual fundraiser to help defray expenses for cancer patients. This is the 10th annual Pay-it-Forward dinner dance. Mr. Potato Head is the band for the evening. There will be a silent auction as well as a live auction.

 A Pair to Remember      is Wake Teen’s annual signature fundraiser and the Triangle’s favorite fashion forward event designed for ladies who lunch and for women to put their hearts and “soles” into enriching the lives of youth.

On Friday, September 17, 2010 from 11:00 a.m. 2:00 p.m. -  Renaissance Hotel at North Hills Raleigh, NC transforms into the exclusive backdrop for an afternoon at “A Pair to Remember”. Ladies will have an opportunity to enjoy lighter finger foods, tarts, fruits and beverages as they browse A Pair’s exclusive silent auction featuring exquisite jewelry, spa services and destination & entertainment packages. Guests who purchase a spa ticket at the event will also get to indulge in special pampering including chair massage, mini-facials, etc while enjoying complimentary champagne while they shop.  Offering a sneak preview of their latest spring lines –  several exclusive clothing, shoe, fashion and jewelry boutiques will be on hand to create A Pair’s first ever Boutique Showcase !! Merchants from the Boutique Showcase will also produce a wonderful fashion show for our guests. In the spirit of the day, hand-picked models, teens that have benefitted from the programs and services of Wake Teen, will be spotlighted in the show along with the latest in spring fashions and shoes. Yes ladies, the A Pair’s popular male models will be returning this year to support Wake Teen as well as help the Boutiques showcase their items and insure that A Pair’s special live auction doesn’t get overlooked either!!
